COLLISIONS explores the relationship between the natural and the abstract, the scientist and the artist, the tangible and intangible. Is movement driven by the internal or external? Is it a collision between the two? How does information we absorb inspire movement consciously and subconsciously? The piece was set through a combination of phrasework and formations inspired by concepts from the natural sciences as well as those selected from spontaneous improvisation.
